Tom Brady Rookie Card Goes for Outrageous Amount on Ebay

With the age of sports cards seemingly in the past we were interested in seeing if any were still worth money outside of your typical cards (Michael Jordan rookie, early baseball cards, etc). So we did a basic search and with the super bowl coming up this weekend we searched for a Tom Brady rookie card and found one priced at a whopping $110,000 yes your read that correctly $110,000. Now after seeing that price tag and knowing where the sports card game is at you would think that this was an over zealous seller who put a hefty buy it now price tag on a prized possession. But after digging a little deeper we noticed that this card was not only not a buy it now but it had been bid on 63 times and the starting bid was .99 cents.

The card of conversation is pictured above and if you look at the bidding sequences it's crazy to see that a card starting at just .99 cents could jump up in bidding by $6k in just over 90 minutes. Just to give you guys something to use as a reference we also looked up rookie cards of some more of the most popular athletes of current and past:

Here you have the rookie cards of arguably the two most polarizing players to ever put on a uniform and they aren't even fetching 1/30th of the price together. I think the thing that makes this the most surprising is the fact that Tom Brady is one of if not the most hated athlete of all time regardless of sport. The biggest thing I hope that comes from this is that sports cards come back to the forefront and  I can live out my childhood again and sit in my living room floor flipping through cards and memorizing random useless stats.

Louisville Football signs 4 during Early Signing Period

It's no secret that the Louisville football team struggled to say the least this season, finishing with a record of 2-10 with wins over Indiana State and Western Kentucky. This led to Vince Tyra making the decision to fire head coach Bobby Petrino on November 11th after the team gave up at least 50 points in a 3rd straight game which seemed to be a trend by seasons end with the defense giving up at least 50 points an FBS record 7 times.
A few weeks later Tyra hired coach Scott Satterfield away from Appalachian St. I am saying all this to say this has put Louisville behind the eight ball when it comes to the early signing period for football. Petrino being fired not only led to decommits but also led to transfers. If I had to guess I would say these at least 3 of these 4 guys will be early enrollees in January.

First signie is Aidan Robbins the 6-3 220 lb RB out of Dupont Manual in Louisville, KY:

Second Louisville flipped Evan Conley the 6-1 205 lb QB from Marietta, GA from Appalachian St:

Third to sign was Zach Williamson a 6-6 275lb OT out of Huntington, WV:

Fourth to sign was Dorian Jones a 6-0 219 lb ILB from Plantation, FL who flipped from IU:
