Beef's Beef Super Bowl Predictions

Like always Beef's Beef tries to give you guys our picks for big sporting events so the Super Bowl is no different. Below you will see our picks as well as the pick of Beef's cousin Jerry Lee Nalley! Let us know what you think with your winner, score, MVP, and a brief reason why!

Beef:

Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
Score: 36-31
MVP: Sammy Watkins
Reason: The Chiefs played the Patriots in the 2018 AFC title game and the Titans in 2019 AFC title game. In both games the opposing teams did their best at trying to take away Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce which leaves one on one coverage for the Chiefs other receivers. This will be the best defense this Chiefs team has faced not only in the playoffs but most likely the entire season. With improvements to their own defense I think they get just enough stops against a strong rushing attack and get a late 4th quarter score to win and ultimately give Andy Reid his first Lombardi trophy.

BJ:

Winner: San Francisco 49ers
Score: 24-20
MVP: Nick Bosa
Reason:   I think this game will be later known as the battle of old vs new. The 49ers have run the ball 71 times in their last 79 plays, and have acquired 71% of their total offensive yards in the playoffs on the ground. The Chiefs have the polar opposite perspective, acquiring 73% of their yards gained in the playoffs through the air. This is the 1st Super Bowl in which we will see 2 teams who bolster Tight Ends with over 1000 yards receiving. While both TE are phenomenal individual players the 49ers might be better suited in using that weapon (George Kittle) in this game. I see the 49ers scoring the 1st points of the game on their initial drive and the Chiefs then trying to play catch up for the rest of the game. To the best of my knowledge this 49ers team is the first Super Bowl team to bolster a defensive line complete with all former 1st round draft picks. Bosa has played a key role in the "Gold Rush" attack this year, and I see that streak continuing. Bosa already has 3 sacks in the playoffs, and I see him adding to that total, as well as adding a forced fumble to his impressive MVP stat line. I think the Chiefs hang around and make a valiant push at the end of the game, but the 49ers defense get a key 4th down stop to solidify their 6th super bowl victory for their illustrious franchise.

Jerry Lee:

Winner: San Francisco 49ers
Score: 38-28
MVP: Raheem Mostert
Reason:   Everybody is talking about the Kansas City offense rightly so but San Francisco can score as well. I've been trying to find a reason to pick Kansas City to win, and they definitely could. We may see Hardman and maybe even Tyreek Hill on special teams. Their defense is improved and is no slouch like in years past. But with everyone now healthy on this 49ers defense I just feel it gives them more ways to win the game.
